Acute Telehealth Visits

Focused care for common illnesses

Acute visits are best for one medical concern that can be safely treated via telehealth.

Common reasons include:

  • Cold, flu-like symptoms

  • Sinus congestion or infection

  • Bronchitis-type cough

  • Sore throat

  • UTI symptoms (non-recurrent)

  • Rash or skin irritation (photos required)

  • Pink eye

  • Nausea or reflux

  • Stable, non-controlled medication refills

⏱️ Most acute visits take 10–15 minutes.

Chronic Care Follow-Up

Ongoing management of known conditions

Chronic visits are designed for conditions that require review, monitoring, and medication management.

Examples include:

  • High blood pressure

  • Diabetes

  • Thyroid disorders

  • Anxiety or depression follow-ups

  • Chronic kidney disease monitoring

  • Lab review and medication adjustments

⏱️ These visits typically take 20–30 minutes.

Chronic conditions are not addressed during acute visits.

New Patient / Establish Care

Comprehensive first visit

This visit is for patients who are new to Gott Family Practice and need a more complete review of their health.

Includes:

  • Medical history review

  • Medication reconciliation

  • Chronic condition assessment

  • Preventive care discussion

  • Care plan and next steps

⏱️ Typically 30–40 minutes.

What We Do Not Treat via Telehealth

Telehealth is not appropriate for medical emergencies.

Please seek emergency care immediately for:

  • Chest pain

  • Shortness of breath

  • Weakness on one side of the body

  • Confusion

  • Severe or worsening pain

  • Any condition that feels urgent or unsafe
